“Fiscal Cliff” = $500M to Amgen?

OF COURSE!!! Our politicians don’t do ANYTHING unless cash is attached! And you taxpayers are paying the price!

By Jack E. Lohman

The NY Times broke this and Bill Moyers picked up on it and the outrage began:

From Reader Supported News:

Just a couple of days before the inaugural festivities, The New York Times published some superb investigative reporting by the team of Eric Lipton and Kevin Sack, and their revelations were hard to forget, even at a time of celebration.

The story told us of a pharmaceutical giant called Amgen and three senators so close to it they might be entries on its balance sheet: Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Democratic Senator Max Baucus, chair of the Senate Finance Committee, and that powerful committee’s ranking Republican, Orrin Hatch. A trio of perpetrators who treat the United States Treasury as if it were a cash-and-carry annex of corporate America.

Outraged? Dems in bed with R’s?

Get used to it. This is just ONE of the millions of political giveaways, of YOUR cash, and while Amgen was not mentioned by name, they clearly must be happy campers. And oh, here are their political contributions, of course not necessarily intended as political bribes.

But the real question must be: “Why do American voters remain so apathetic?” WHY have we even allowed these three crooked politicians to continue in leadership? Does this country have any standards???

And I watched another talking show on Fox, with a republican lambasting the government for spending money!

Hey, Republican… it’s called “PORK” and you and your Republican colleagues have sucked at the teat and pocketed the cash bribes! As have the Democrat prostitutes! And my congressman — Rep Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) — who rails against spending but has done nothing to avert it.

This Ping Pong game will continue UNTIL our voters get smart. And our politicians are loving every minute of the detachment. ONLY a 100% turnover of both political parties will fix it.

It’s called “diversion.” Gun restrictions, fiscal cliff and the economy, women in combat, abortions and birth control, whatever. ANYTHING but what really matters to the growth of the country: an honest political system!
